Her Campus Media
Her Campus Media is an online magazine written by and for college women, encompassing all topics, including fashion, beauty, career, relationships, lifestyle, entertainment, and more. I started as a contributor for the University of Illinois at Chicago chapter, then later took on the roles of both President and Editor-In-Chief of my university’s chapter.

Sponsored Articles:
The HC UIC chapter partnered with brands like Innisfree, Gold Bond, Garnier Fructis, Miss Dior fragrance, Aussie, Extra gum, Essie Coture, Bondi Sands, Nair, Emergen-C, Mary Kay, Garnier Green Labs, Nars cosmetics, Covergirl cosmetics, and so many more. Contributors received samples for honest reviews. (The highlighted brands are linked with my sponsored articles.)
Interview Articles:
I also worked on a few interview-based articles, for personal perspective. “The Inventor of Glitter Eyeshadow Reveals His Secrets to Success” is a recap from a beauty event I attended, guest starring Too Faced Global Beauty Director, Elyse Reneau and Too Faced Co-Founder, Jerrod Blandino, as well as other Pro Makeup Artists. Windsor Western, the Co-Founder of Her Campus Magazine, represented the HC Mag community, interviewing Jerrod Blandino. He told his story of how his taboo ideas took off, such as the glitter eyeshadow in 1955, and later, the Better Than Sex mascara, as well as scented makeup like the Chocolate Bronzer and Peach Palette.
“Career Advice From Hailey McCaffrey” is where I interviewed the HC Media Campus Community Associate. She worked directly with our chapter from the headquarters in Boston, as our point of contact for all things HC. She oversaw a few different chapters and coordinated brand partnerships. McCaffrey spoke to the importance of connections, life skills, and professional advice.
Sister Company Ambassadorships:
Alongside Her Campus, I also worked with communities like College Fashionista, Campus Trendsetters, Intern Queen, Spoon University, InfluenceHER Collective, and Generation Hired. These communities offered both paid and unpaid sponsorships to work with brands and write product reviews. They also led career-building opportunities like the Women In Business event, the PowHERful Panel event, and even a conference hosted by Buzfeed.
