The Corii Burns fashion label is a “luxury, deconstructed brand that focuses on sustainability, while aiming for social change through fashion”. Corii Burns was seen in British Vogue four times and was developed in Paris, France. The brand was born at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the height of the Black Lives Matter movement globally.

As a Social Media Manager, I worked directly with the designer to curate the avant-garde brand’s online presence both on the website and on the Instagram account. This consisted of uploading daily interactive Instagram stories and posts, reorganizing the highlights and bio, curating the captions, and planning out the aesthetic of the timeline. Through analytics, I tracked community engagement to help promote the fashion show for the collection titled MHi!.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copyedited the brand’s about page on their site to best showcase brand values like sustainability and mental health, as well as key brand identity factors of the avant-garde collection like intertwining masculinity and femininity.
- Remodeled the Instagram: created a timeline aesthetic, organized highlights, and upgraded bio.
- Created daily interactive Instagram posts and stories through Canva to boost community engagement. Tracked engagement levels through Instagram Analytics.
- Built a platform to gain a loyal audience: heightened the number of likes, comments, saves, reposts, and tags. This brought the following count from 120 followers to 1,000 authentic followers in 4 months.
- Scheduled posts through Hootsuite. Interactive stories included: Mental Health Monday quizzes, questions, and quotes; pulling looks from stylists and creating pulls such as “This or That”, “Wear or Tear”, “Rate the Look”, or “Hot or Not”; Throwback Thursdays; behind the scenes clips of designer working in the studio, telling the designer’s story, etc.
- Teamworked with graphic designers to revamp the brand’s logo, shared 3D images of fashion designs, planned new collections, and brought new ideas to the weekly meetings in my presentations, such as clothing tag ideas and clothing boxing ideas.
- Wrote company emails/newsletters/ads that were sent out to customers subscribed to our email list.
